Alberto Rojas Moscoso was born in Santiago in 1970. He is a journalist from the Diego Portales University and holds a master's degree in Political Science from the Catholic University of Chile. In 1995, he won first place in the Marcela Paz Youth Literature Contest with his novel "La lanza rota", reissued in 2007 in an extended version. He later published its sequel, "La hermandad del viento" (2009), which won the National Book and Reading Council's award for best youth novel of that year. He is also the author of "La sombra de fuego" (2011), starring the legendary Lieutenant Bello, "El Medallón del Sol Negro" (2014), and "La venganza de la reina" (2015), all published by Ediciones B. His stories appear in numerous anthologies. He is also featured on Twitter as @aarojasm.
