William Blanchard Jerrold

William Blanchard Jerrold (1826-1884) was the eldest son of dramatist and author Douglas William Jerrold. He left school and began working on newspapers at an early age. In 1855, he was sent to the Paris exhibition as correspondent for several London papers, and from that date, he lived mostly in Paris.
