Degree in philosophy , he was first a journalist and screenwriter and scriptwriter for films.
His first novel, The Feast Spanish , appeared in 1959 ( Price Deux Magots 1959) and was adapted into a film by Jean-Jacques Vierne in 1961 , followed by mechanical Pianos (price Interallié 1962), produced by the cinema Juan Antonio Bardem in 1965 , and many of his other novels thereafter.
