Diego Trelles Paz (Lima 1977) is the author of HUDSON EL REDENTOR [Hudson the Redeemer] (Lima, 2001), EL CÍRCULO DE LOS ESCRITORES ASESINOS [The Circle of Assassin Writers] (Barcelona, 2005), BIOY (Barcelona, 2012), ADORMECER A LOS FELICES (Madrid, 2015) and LA PROCESIÓN INFINITA [The infinite procession] (Barcelona, 2017). BIOY received the Francisco Casavella Prize and was a finalist for the Rómulo Gallegos Prize in 2013. LA PROCESIÓN INFINITA was a finalist for the Herralde Prize. Both novels were released in France by éditions Buchet Chastel (2015 and 2019). He is also the editor of EL FUTURO NO ES NUESTRO (2009) an anthology of short stories by young Latin American writers that has been published in 6 countries and translated into Hungarian and English [The Future Is Not Ours. New Latin American Fiction: Rochester NY, 2012]. In 2017 he received peruvian's National Essay Prize Copé for DETECTIVES PERDIDOS EN LA CIUDAD OSCURA. NOVELA POLICIAL ALTERNATIVA EN LATINOAMÉRICA. DE BORGES A BOLAÑO (Lima, 2017). He holds a doctorate in Hispanic Literature from the University of Texas at Austin and currently lives in Paris.
